The Smell is Back!

Carthage City Attorney, David Mounton reported that he detected odors Tuesday afternoon (June 13, 2006). He was quoted in The Carthage Press as saying "It smelled like RES to me. It was more intense in the afternoon." He suggested that people call the Missouri Department of Natural Resources when necessary, when there is an odor.

so from what your telling everyone here is that david nounton is an expert on odors.your telling us that by just smelling the air mounton can distinguish between con agra,RES,and the city sewage treatment plant? where does one get a degree in locating the source of odors by just standing outside ones office?
mounton has been trying to put himself in the spotlight since he decided to run for judge.the fastest way to get noticed by the public is to find a bandwagon and jump on and holler the loudest.he seems to be the only one left making any noise on this one.he needs to tell us what his plans are for the goverment office he is running for,not by showboating about this odor no one else seems to be saying anything about.

I don't think that anyone is trying to put themself in the spotlight (actually olfactory arena), except Renewable Environmental Solutions LLC (RES). Regrettably, not everyone has the same sensitivity to obnoxious odors, what has been described as 'dead, rotting carcass smell - intensified'. If they did, you probably wouldn't be defending RES. I for one, am grateful to every single person that has jumped on the bandwagon, as you say, including Attorney General Jay Nixon, Governor Matt Blunt, (Former) Mayor Kenny Johnson, and City Attorney David Mouton.
