Cleaning Out RES

The Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR), has given Renewable Environmental Solutions LLC (RES) permission to start-up their facility, long enough to clean out the lines and tanks of the facility. RES has agreed not to process any new material. The Carthage Press, Friday January 20, 2006 reports that RES will also be testing their new odor control systems during the clean out process.

12:45 , Jan. 24 I live very near to the Carthage Square and here it is 15 minutes till 1:00 and "the stink" has appeared. I went outside and sure enough It is the same noxious odor that has been attributed to R.E.S. Could it be? I have reason to believe it is indeed.

I just realized and I apologize for as it is late, but I got the date wrong it is the 25th of Jan. and agin let me say terribly late.
Also let me note that I have tried (unsuccessfully yet again) to leave a complaint with the d.n.r. office here in carthage. Apparently the don't have an answering machine and cannot take complaints beyond office hours.
However, Attorney David Mouton does. But really I already feel as though he is doing his best and shouldn't have to file complaints. But I left a message anyway.

Thank you for sharing (and documenting) the 'stink-o-meter' reading last Wednesday night-Thursday morning. You did the right thing by calling and leaving a message with Mr. Mouton. I have a link on the right side of the page, for filing compaints (on line) with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR). The MDNR telephone numbers are 800-361-4827 and 573-751-3443. Thanks for your efforts!
