"Biggest Problem Carthage has is RES", Mayor Woestman

Carthage Mayor Jim Woestman , representing the City of Carthage addressed the Missouri Air Conservation Comission, at their meeting on December 6, 2007. He thanked the State of Missouri for trying to help the City of Carthage eliminate their odor problem. He explained that "The biggest problem that Carthage has is that Renewable Environmental Solutions LLC (RES) claims that they don't have a problem, which means that they are not doing anything to solve the problem. The Citizens of Carthage do not believe that this problem will go away without stronger regulations."

I'm beginning to think that the biggest problem Carthage has is Mayor Woestman! We live in the downtown area and get HEAVY doses of the smell at our house. I decided today that it smells like sewage mixed with rotting-burning flesh that has been sitting for awhile and then set on fire. It then seems that someone turns on a huge fan.

I'm confused. It sounds to me like your mayor agrees with you. I just started following this story. RES seems to be on the right track to energy security, but I'm well aware that there are always "cons" with the "pros". I've been researching to see what they are. It seems that your town is in the middle of a rather large "con".

But from what I've read so far it looks like Mayor Jim Woestman has been keeping the pressure on RES to eradicate the odor problem.
